Micrograph: It is a Parkinson’s Life
Early rising, right sizing, and realizing my limits for the day...
Early rising,
Right sizing, and realizing
My limits for the day.
Stay a little while
By the graves dressed in style
On this day of memory.
Walk up and down the aisles
Loading piles
Into our large empty carts.
Food for fun and
Food for thought.
We empty the car and fill the fridge.
I bridge two tiring chores
With short naps in chairs
Refueling for the weeds.
The need is great,
Weeds fill the crate, and
Create space between the plants.
Legs exhausted,
I can barely walk.
Too tired to talk.
In my chair,
For hours, where
I rest and recover for tonight.
The family together
Striking the pins.
No matter the score, it’s a win.
Rest and recovery, the main
Discovery.
To live a balanced life.
When walking gets tough,
The tough get walking.
It is a Parkinson’s life.
Summer of Balance
